Hey fellow Adventurer’s,

I’m sitting here on this comfy couch amidst the binders, the calendars, the flying miserable snow and the dog, blogging at you for the first time. To you? For you? …. Ill ponder that.
I always thought blog writing was an extremely vain way of expressing one’s thoughts. A way of assuming if what you think and have to say is so stupendous, so unique, and so IMPORTANT, others will be struck with the urge to consume your written genius and be changed forever more.
Turns out, blogging is an extremely useful tool to relay information, learn from experiences, and simply relate to other like-minded individuals. It’s an awesome resource chalked full of stories and details that are super handy for the industry that I’m in. So, I will take my hypocrisy, swallow it down with a big ol’ sip of rum and ginger, and type type type away.
This first entry has one goal: to introduce you to me and the business that is Gypsy’s Caravan.  So here’s some random info that may or may not be of interest to you:

-I’m 27 years young
-Shinny is my second favourite past time
-I once wanted to be a Highschool English Teacher (bullet dodged, amIright?)
-My dog is 4 years old and her name is Gypsie
-I believe Patrick Rothfuss is a lyrical genius
-Country Music is my jam
-Gypsy’s Caravan is my ongoing little business baby

Gypsy’s Caravan – Adventure Hostel is many things, and now that we’re acquainted I’m going to explain to you what some of those things are. This idea came of my personal passion for the outdoors, and from my belief that being outside does a boat load of wonders for the soul. I find that so many people want to hike that trail, summit that mountain, paddle that river, or simply go camping, but they’re scared to try. They’re intimidated. They don’t know where to start, how to start, or who to talk to about getting started.
I want Gypsy’s Caravan to be that starting point.
Sharing the skills needed to become capable, and confident, in creating outdoor adventures for yourself is what I aim to do. I aim to provide a fun, safe, and friendly environment where you can learn exactly what it is you’re doing and why you’re doing it, then take that knowledge and utilize it in your future endeavours. This first year is all about privately guided trips and excursions – building the brand, growing the adventures, and sharing my respect for nature with those I can. After this first year… well, I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned 😉

Nighty night you wandering souls, stay warm.
